Beloved Dutch passed peacefully in his sleep on July 26. He enjoyed a long 98 years of life, filled with joy & adventure, including worldwide travels & summer trips to the family cabin at Separation Lake, Ontario, Canada. He was born in Victor, Iowa to Charles "Skinny" and Laura (Refer) Schlesselman. He met his wife Teed at the University of Iowa in 1945, and together they owned & operated the Ranch Supper Club in Cou Falls, Victorian Inn, Victor and Forum, Cedar Rapids. He was a member of ATO Fraternity, Elmcrest Country Club, University Athletic Club, and was the longest living member of the Cedar Rapids Elks Club. They raised four children: John and David, previously deceased; Diane (James) Klinger and Carol (Robert) Rudd and moved to Seattle 2 years ago. He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many loving relatives. Please share your memories of Dutch at www.smithfh.com.
