Catherine Cavegn, age 45, of Grinnell and formerly of Colfax, died on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A reception will be held at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the memorials may be designated to the Catherine L. Cavegn Memorial Fund, mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112. Catherine's memory will be cherished by her daughters, Brandie Wood, Tia Burton, and Crystal Cavegn, all of Grinnell; 2 granddaughters, Aleigha and Landon Wood of Grinnell, with one granddaughter on the way, Nova Catherine Raphael; her mother, Dianne Wood of Mingo, Iowa; and her siblings, Mike (Shelly) Wood of Colfax and Michelle (Barry) Smith of Mingo. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Wood; husband, Jason Cavegn; and great great aunt, Livinia Holland.
