Carolyn Patricia Kochuyt, 75, passed away on October 18, 2024, in Orange, California, at MainPlace Senior Living. She was a recent resident of MainPlace Memory Care Unit.

Carolyn was born on July 31, 1949, to Spencer and Betty Russell in Arkansas. She attended Williamsburg schools in Iowa. She would graduate in 1968 from Williamsburg High School. She married Terry Kochuyt July 13, 1968. After Terry's military service was complete, they made Brooklyn, Iowa Home.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Terry; parents, Betty and Spencer Russell; and a younger sister, Annie Graf. She leaves behind her three adult children: Shellie Irwin, Joshua Kochuyt, and Jeremy Kochuyt; 6 siblings: Micky Maschmann, Sharon Voss, David Russell, Bill Russell, Glenn Russell, Doug Russell; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Carolyn loved to travel the United States, shop, dine at restaurants, and everything Elvis! She made friends wherever she went.

A private graveside service will be held at Victor Calvary Cemetery, Victor, IA.
