Blair Edwin Hall, age 72, of Brooklyn, IA, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Birkwood Village in Toledo, IA under care of Iowa River Hospice. 

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Smith Funeral Home in Brooklyn. Family will greet friends during a visitation held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the Michael J. Manatt Center in Brooklyn. Burial at Brooklyn Calvary Cemetery will take place later.

Blair was born on July 25, 1954, the only child of Gerald and Evelyn Hall. He was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn High School with the Class of 1972. Following high school, Blair attended AIB in Des Moines, where he studied business. 

In December of 1974, Blair was united in marriage to Deana. The couple made their home in the Brooklyn area and were blessed with a son, Neil, in November of 1989. 

Blair lived in the country and farmed alongside his father, Gerald, for 18 years. In 1992, he stepped away from full-time farming, rented out the acreage, and moved into town with his family. Over the years, Blair held several different jobs, including additional farm work and driving a semi. He fully retired in December of 2023.

In his free time, Blair enjoyed cars and motorcycles, golfing, bowling, and watching NASCAR, particularly Dale Earnhardt

Blair is survived by his wife Deana, their son Neil and his wife Emmie; and three grandchildren Cayden, Gracie and Hannah. Blair is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn and his father Gerald.
