Beverly Wood, 86, of Solon and formerly of Victor, died on Monday, November 24, 2025 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

A funeral mass will be held 10:00 am, Friday, November 28, 2025 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Victor. A luncheon will follow at St. Bridget Catholic Church.

Beverly Ann Jordan was born on March 22, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Chester E. and Rachel G. (Taylor) Jordan. She was raised in Colton, California, and graduated from Colton High School in 1958. On May 10, 1958, she married the love of her life, Gale Wood, in Bloomington, California. Together they shared 66 beautiful years and raised six children: Greg, Steven, Julie, Kathy, Jeff, and Jon.

In 1978, Bev and Gale made their home in Victor, Iowa, where Bev worked for over 26 years at the Carnforth Inn. She was a devoted member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, serving faithfully on the Altar and Rosary Society and teaching CCD for more than two decades. Her faith was the quiet foundation of her life, and her service reflected her deep love for her church and community. Bev found joy in traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Greg (Sharon) Wood of Coralville, IA; Julie (Paul) Wolf of Edmonds, WA; Kathy Wagamon of Coralville, IA; Jeff Wood of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and Jon (Tracy) Wood of Victor; her grandchildren: Alexander (Rory) Wolf, Michael (Katie) Wolf, Nathan (Baylee) Wagamon, Brittney (Brandon) Schafbuch, Brendan (Andrea) Wood, Joshua (Bree) Wood, and Jessica Wood; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gale; and her son, Steven.
