Beverly Mae Anderson, 90, of Grinnell, IA passed away on January 5, 2023.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 AM, Friday, May 5th, 2023 at Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell, with Rev. John Epperson officiating.

Memorials may be designated to the family, and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.

Beverly was born September 27, 1932 to Oliver and Cora (Jewell) Peterson. She graduated from Grinnell High School in 1950 and was united in marriage later that year to Wilbur Anderson at the Grinnell Methodist Church. Together they raised two sons, Gerald and David.

Beverly was a lifelong resident of Grinnell and was most recently employed at Grinnell Regional Medical Center before her retirement. She was a member of the local Eagles Auxiliary and Grandmother's Club. She was also an avid collector of various items, especially ones she could find at a garage sale. She was an outgoing woman who loved to meet and talk to people and was known to be one who voiced her opinion.

She is survived by her husband, Wilbur, and their two sons Gerald (Phyllis) Anderson of Grinnell and David Anderson of Newton; three grandchildren, Ben (Angie) Anderson, Eric Anderson and Nicole Anderson; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Earl and Russell (Carolyn) Peterson.
