Betty Dietrich, 94, of Marengo, died on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo. A private family service will be held at Ohio Cemetery near Ladora. Memorials may be designated to Compass Memorial Healthcare and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 485, Victor, IA 52347. Betty F. Dietrich was born on August 17, 1927 in Victor, Iowa to Ferdinand and Pearl (Fuller) Dietrich. She was raised and educated near Victor and graduated from Ladora High School in Ladora, Iowa. She was employed at Merchants National Bank and later at Craemer's Department Store in Cedar Rapids for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling and her favorite destinations were to Ireland, Mexico, France, Austria, England, Belgium, and Germany. Betty is survived by her nephew, Daniel Dietrich of Marengo and a niece, Donna (Terry) Stewart of Rochester, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold and Clayton Dietrich; and nephew, David Dietrich.
