Bernie Manly, 94, of Okoboji passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Accura Healthcare of Spirit Lake.

A memorial service for Bernie will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Online condolences may be left at www.spiritlakefuneralhome.com

Bernadette Ann Manly was born on July 29, 1930, to John and Agnes (Telford) Lippold in Spencer, IA. She graduated from Spencer High School and attended Drake University. She was united in marriage to Chuck Manly in August of 1949, in Minneapolis, MN. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2011, in Milford, IA. Bernie worked with her husband as an office manager for the family law firm.

She was a member of the P.E.O., Okoboji Yacht Club and a proud member of the local "lunch bunch". In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, boating, spending time along the water conversing with family and friends, and always looked forward to when the Okoboji Summer Theater opened for the season.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Mike (Shelly) Manly of Okoboji, IA; son Tom Manly and his significant other Debbie Braun of Corinth, TX; grandchildren Kathleen Manly of Arnolds Park, IA; John Manly of Los Angeles, CA; and Chad (Allison) Manly of Dallas, TX; great grandchildren Kate and Cash Manly of Dallas, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chuck, son Charlie Manly, granddaughter Jennifer Manly, sister Mary Helen Hale, sister Trudy Hopton and brother John Lippold.
