Barbara Ann Huggins, 59, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the home of her mother in Grinnell, Iowa. A private family service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015, at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell with Rev. John Epperson officiating. Should friends desire, memorials may be directed to Grinnell Regional Hospice and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112. Ann was born on March 22, 1956, in Grinnell, Iowa to Clifford and Barbara Roe Duncan. She grew up in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell-Newburg High School with the Class of 1974. Following her education, she worked at the Grinnell State Bank, Walmart and Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company. In the early 1990s, she moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas and was employed at the Siloam Springs Printing Company and later for the Siloam Springs Glass and Mirror Company. Ann enjoyed attending craft shows in northwest Arkansas and buying and selling items at local flea markets. Her hobbies included camping, golfing, fishing, reading and making jewelry. She loved family reunions and she was known for her homemade desserts. Survivors include her husband, Chris Huggins of Siloam Springs; her mother, Barbara Duncan of Grinnell; and three sisters, Hepsie Bywater of Long Island, NY, Dodie Telfer of Newton, IA and Jackie Akery of Brooklyn, IA. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Duncan; and two nephews, Daniel Akery and Raymond Bywater.
