She was raised in Virginia and in 1980 her family moved to Ankeny, Iowa, where she graduated from Ankeny High School with the class of 1989. On February 14, 1991, she was united in marriage with Lonnie Morrison in Altoona, and welcomed their daughter Ashley in November. They ultimately parted ways in 1994. Angie met Brian Dreesman and moved to Grinnell later that year and on October 17, 1996, they were united in marriage. They welcomed their son Calvin in 1998. Together, they raised their family in Grinnell for 16 years before they ended their marriage in 2013. Throughout that time, Angie was a dedicated childcare provider, as well as an early care and education consultant through Child Care Resource and Referral. She had a true gift when it came to this position and she loved it very much. In later years, she moved into property management. Angie was united in marriage to David Kline on December 11th, 2015 in Miami Beach, FL. They resided in Newton, IA where Angie was a property manager for Hunter's Run Apartments as well as the assistant manager of the Newton Walmart for some time. Angie and Dave parted ways in 2020 and she moved into a house in Newton that she absolutely adored with her dogs Izzy and Charlie. Angie had a passion for helping children and her community, having an extensive history of volunteer work including involvement in the public schools and Grinnell preschools, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels, Stewart Library reading program, and the Happy Days and Fourth of July committees. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed going for walks and hikes, biking, and especially enjoyed camping. She loved reading, was a master scrapbooker, gardener, and cook, and absolutely loved sushi. Angie had the most keen eye when it came to decorating her home and for the holidays, specifically Halloween and Christmas, she was known to go all out. Angie graduated from Iowa Valley Community College with an AA in 2012, where she was a tutor and a Phi Theta Kappa member. She would do anything for anyone but would rarely accept help. She had the quirkiest, best sense of humor, and the most beautiful and kind heart, always putting others before herself. She loved her grandsons with her whole heart and especially enjoyed spoiling them. Her passing will leave a void that will never be filled in the so many lives she touched during her years here with us. Angie is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Mike Long) Morrison of Grinnell and their children, Hudson and Brooks Long; her son, Calvin Dreesman of Ames, IA; father, Richard (Diane) Miksell of Des Moines, IA; brothers, Robert "Scott" Kirby of Arkansas, Daniel Miksell of Des Moines, IA, and sister Heather (Michael) Santi of Des Moines, IA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Davis-Donovan; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
