Amy Jo Sleeuwenhoek, 49, of Kellogg, died on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her home, with her family by her side. There will be no memorial service per her wishes. Amy was born on September 3, 1968, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Duane and JoAnn Strandburg. She was a graduate of Arvada High School. On September 5, 1998, she was united in marriage with Kendell Sleeuwenhoek, at Hickory Grove Church in Kellogg. Amy was a homemaker and loved to cook and bake, especially for family gatherings. Family meant everything to her. She loved her kids and grandkids dearly and enjoyed life. Amy was a special loving person who cared more about everyone else's needs than her own. She enjoyed shopping and decorating her home and helped Kendell with the livestock on their farm and also raised small dogs over the years. Most of all, she enjoyed the time she and Kendell shared together whether it was watching tv at home or camping. She will be missed very much by friends and family but especially, her husband. Amy is survived by her husband, Kendell of Kellogg; her children, Aubrey (John) Lacy and Joe Bloomer; one step son Levi Sleeuwenhoek of Michigan; her parents, Duane and JoAnn Strandburg of Colorado; her father and mother-in-law, Wendell and Golda Sleeuwenhoek of Grinnell; one sister-in- law, Robin (Rick) Young of Grinnell; three siblings and four grandchildren.
