Ada Marie Anderson, aged 87, formerly of Grinnell and Kellogg, IA, passed away on August 28, 2024, at her home in Newton, Iowa. Born on January 16, 1937, in Aitkin, Minnesota, daughter to Emmett and Blanche Marie Ahrens. Her education began in rural country schools in Minnesota, and she later moved with her family to Grinnell, IA, attending Grinnell Highschool. It is there, where she met her husband, Harold.
Ada and Harold were united in marriage on April 18, 1953. They raised their family in Grinnell before moving to the Kellogg area. Ada's life was marked by her dedication to her family and home. A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, she also worked various jobs throughout her life. She served the community as a waitress at several local establishments including Reed's Ice Cream, Cunningham Drug Soda Fountain, Bowladrome, and Waynes Steakhouse. Additionally, she worked at DeLong's Sportswear.
