Dorothy was born on February 14, 1916, in Malcom, Iowa to Reuben and Neta May Campbell. She attended rural schools at the Irish Ridge School and in Lincoln Township. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church near Victor on October 22, 1936. On January 27, 1935, she was married to Ernest Carl Timm Jr. at St. John's Lutheran Church. The couple farmed northwest of Ladora, where they maintained their home all of their married life. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Victor and was also a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, crafts and painting figurines. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Julie and Dave Read of Ladora, Jerry and Bess Timm of Victor, James and Gwenda Timm of Victor, and Don and Judy Timm of Sibley; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one brother, James Morrison of Bloomfield, Iowa; and one sister, Cleo Christian of Rosemead, California. Dorothy died on Sunday, September 19, 2004, at Rosehaven Nursing Home in Marengo. She was 88 years of age, and she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Mildred Johnston, Mary Grier and Esther Howard; two brothers, Charles (Bud) Morrison and Billy Morrison; and one grandson, Daniel Timm.
