Rose Anna Sadie Shull was born the daughter of Charles and Mary Meyer Haman on March 14, 1907, in Genoe Bluff, Iowa. She was raised in Genoe Bluff and attended country schools in Sumner Township.
Rose was united in marriage to Leslie Shull on December 24, 1926, in Montezuma, Iowa. To this union were born their children Karl, Kathryn and Richard. The couple resided in Genoe Bluff before moving to Marengo, Iowa and then to Ladora in 1933. The couple operated a gas station in Ladora for several years.
Rose was a member of the Christian Fellowship Group. Her enjoyments included crocheting, quilting, and gardening.
Rose is survived by her children, Kathryn (Marvin) Davis of Ladora, and Richard (Cindy) Shull of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie Shull in 1999; her son, Karl Shull in 2006; her grandson, Dennis Davis in 2006; her brothers, John, George, Henry, Lawrence, Carrol; and her sisters, Martha Wyant, Clara Hawkins, Mabel Van Blaircom, and Alma Weaver.
Memorials may be designated to the Anna Shull Memorial Fund to benefit organizations of the family's choice.
