Mason Brown, 5, of Grinnell died of cancer Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, at the Grinnell Christian Church with the Rev. John Epperson officiating. Pallbearers will be Marvin Burkett, Scott and Tony Provin, Bob Suftin and Brandon Tuttle. Honorary bearer will be John Bailey. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell. The son of Shane and Amy Provin Brown, he was born January 28, 2000, in Grinnell. He was raised in Grinnell and enjoyed attending Sunday school at the Grinnell Christian Church. He loved playing video games on his Nintendo 64, riding his electric 4-wheeler, playing baseball with his dad, and watching movies and cartoons. Survivors include his parents of Grinnell; one sister, Asia Provin of Grinnell; his grandparents, Dot Provin of Grinnell, Mike and Mary Provin of Searsboro, and Murray and Barb Brown of Malcom; his great-grandparents, Louise Provin of Guernsey and Blanche Robertson of Malcom; and a great great grandmother, Edna Provin of Brooklyn.
