Larry "Angel" Anderson, age 67 of Grinnell, died at his home on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell. Pastor Wendy Abrahamson of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Grinnell will be officiating.

Larry Wayne Anderson was born on January 11, 1952 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Carl and Doris (Kinsey) Kneer. He grew up and was educated in Palatine, Illinois.
Angel honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 – 1971. He worked in construction most of his life and proudly worked for Gethmann Construction for over 20 years.
Angel was a woodworking enthusiast. He also rooted for the Chicago Bears, enjoyed fishing and had a deep fascination with Rock and Roll music.
Angel is survived by his children, Jessica (Chad) Schellhorn of Lithia, Florida, Larry (Stephanie) Anderson of Ankeny, Iowa, Rebecca Anderson of Williams, Iowa, and Audrey Anderson of Des Moines, Iowa; stepchildren, Roger Edwards of Orlando, Florida and Kathleen (Chris) Carnes of Tama, Iowa; siblings, Linda (Carl) Beckman of Blanchester, Ohio, Mike (Susie) Anderson of Houston, Texas, Bob Mason of Houston, Texas, and Jacquelyn (Victor Palumbo) of Addison, Illinois; a daughter, Brandy; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Doris (Kinsey) Kneer; and a son, Brandon Anderson in 2001.
