Kenny Graff, age 65, of Malcom, died on Friday, March 14, 2014, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell.
Memorials may be designated to Ivy Hill Cemetery Association or to Malcom First Responders, mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.
Kenneth was born the son of Lester and Vivian (Muirhead) Graff on October 17, 1948, in Toledo, Iowa. He was raised on the family farm in the Sheridan Township, where he attended country school. He graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1966.
Kenny was united in marriage to Ruth Herbrandt in 1968, and to this union a daughter Laurie and son Lonnie was born. The couple later divorced. He was remarried on March 23, 1996 to Carol Ann Hall.
Kenny spent most of his life driving truck. He drove for Miracle Recreation and Robintech in Grinnell. He worked at Car Quest Auto Parts Store in Belle Plaine. He drove for Z-Line in Toledo for many years until he could no longer drive due to his illness.
Kenny enjoyed the life of a truck driver. He made many friends with other drivers over the years and he enjoyed visiting with all of them. He enjoyed driving and seeing different parts of the United States.
Kenny was a man of strong faith, adored people, and always appreciated a good laugh. He held a special love for his grandchildren.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Carol Graff of Malcom; daughter, Laura Wilcox of Grinnell; step-sons, Jason (Tammie) Hall of Grinnell and Jeff (Jodi) Hall of Brooklyn; grandchildren, Spencer Wilcox of Grinnell, Jaylene Hall and Janae Hall of Grinnell, Amber Hall and Austin Hall of Brooklyn; father, Lester Graff of Toledo; and siblings, Sandra Meek of Tama and Dale (Janelle) Graff of Grinnell.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Graff; son, Kenneth (Lonnie) Graff; grandson, Kyler Wilcox; and brother-in-law, Harold Meek.
