Harold Dietrich, 88, formerly of Victor passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Vinton Lutheran Home in Vinton, Iowa. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Harold was born on January 17, 1925, to F.H. and Pearl Fuller Dietrich in rural Guernsey. The family moved to a farm east of Victor where he attended and graduated from Ladora High School. Harold began farming on the family farm and continued to his retirement in 1988. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He began wood crafting later in life after his retirement. He kept active by going on daily walks. He had a special bond with dogs and could always be seen with one at his side. In January of 2012 he moved into the Vinton Lutheran Home till his death. Harold is survived by his sister, Betty Dietrich of Marengo; sister-in-law, Lois Dietrich of Marengo; nephew, Daniel (Vicki) Dietrich of Marengo; and niece, Donna (Terry) Stewart of Rochester, Minnesota. He is preceded in death by parents; brother, Clayton; and nephew, David Dietrich.
