Ardis passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center in Keystone at the age of 83.
A memorial and graveside service will be held at a later date.
Ardis was born on January 21, 1930, in Denison, Iowa to Louis and Gladys Johnston Wright.
She was raised and attended school in Belle Plaine. She was united in marriage to Noble Bunn on June 5, 1946 in Des Moines.
The couple lived in Brooklyn a short time before moving to Victor in 1952, later after the passing of Noble, she moved to Marengo in 2005. Ardis worked at the Flomar restaurant in Brooklyn and then 23 years at the Victorian Inn in Victor before retiring in 1989.
Ardis and Noble loved to travel from coast to coast, and she had made two trips to Hawaii. Ardis loved her family, she enjoyed cooking for friends and at various events in the area.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Shirley) Bunn of Cedar Rapids, Richard Bunn of Victor; daughters, Linda Schmidt of Williamsburg, and Megen Bunn of Des Moines; grandchildren, Gary (Laura Vannetti) Bunn Jr. of Las Vegas, Andre (Bob) Holsomback, of Davenport, and Katie Bunn of Des Moines; great-grandchildren, Anna, Noble and Jaden Noble, Alice and Celeste Conti, and several step-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Noble in 2003; her parents, and three sons David, Gary, and Kenneth who died as an infant; brothers, Charles and Donald Wright.
