She was raised in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1973. Following her education, Sherry was employed at Miracle Recreation in Grinnell.

Sherry dearly loved her family and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was a very talented musician, who sang and played the Dobro in the Rock Creek Country band. Her enjoyments were camping, scrapbooking, jet skiing, going for rides on the Harley with Roger, going on walks with her brother Steve, and traveling, especially her trips to Cancun with her sister, Sandy.

Innis of Grinnell; her daughter, Kim (Dan) Kriegel of Grinnell; 4 grandchildren, Matt Innis, Shaden Wyatt, Jevin Wyatt, and Logan Kriegel; siblings, Stephen Niester of Grinnell and Sandra Niester-Zarndt of Normal, Illinois; and her dog, Koko.
