LeRoy was born on February 8, 1944, in Guernsey, the son of Willie and Velma Hartgrave Bringmann. He was raised in the Victor area and was a 1962 graduate of HLV High School.

LeRoy and his first wife, Linda Williamson, had two children Butch and LeAnn. They resided in Ladora.

LeRoy had worked many jobs including working for 20 years with Martin Marietta. His main career was an owner/operator trucker and was leased to Mid-Seven Transportation in Des Moines. After his retirement, he drove a truck for J & J Cattle in Williamsburg until his health began to fail. He was a hard worker and loved trucking.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Velma and his brother, Richard.

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Janice of Victor; his son, Butch (Renee) Bringmann of Ladora and his daughter, LeAnn Meeks (Chris Smith) of Williamsburg; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are his step-children, Dave (Laura) McDonald of Leawood, Kansas, Dan (Susan) McDonald of Woodstock, Georgia, and Diane (Brett) Kimm of Mt. Vernon; seven step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandson.

LeRoy always had an easy laugh and was loved by many. He was a hard worker and a tough man who fought cancer bravely. He will be missed by many. We will meet again in our Heavenly Home. Until then, rest in peace, LeRoy.
