Obituary for Judy Lee Davis-Baker

Judith Lee Davis-Baker, 75, of Minburn, Iowa and formerly of Malcom died February 10, 2018, at Perry Lutheran Home in Perry.

Graveside services and burial are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28th, at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Malcom. A Celebration of Life gathering will follow at the Malcom Auditorium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Judy Davis-Baker Memorial Fund.

Judy was born on May 1, 1942, in Grinnell, the daughter of Charlie Lloyd and Doris Louise Wolfe Davis, Sr. She was raised in Malcom and was a 1960 graduate of Malcom High School. She later attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and received a degree in Computer Sciences.

For most of her life, Judy lived in Minneapolis and Des Moines while working as a bank administrator for Wells Fargo in their mortgage department.

Judy was an avid reader. She loved her cats and flowers, especially roses; NASCAR and Jeff Gordon; and watching ice skating. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and while in high school she was very proud to have won a Betty Crocker award.

She is survived by her wo sons, Jeff Baker of Minburn and James (Jodi) Baker of Yates City, Illinois; two grandchildren, Laura Ann Baker and Arick Bybee; six brothers, Dennis (Cindy) Davis of Malcom, Dale Davis of Marshalltown, Eric Davis of Minburn, Terry Davis of Brooklyn, Kevin (Rochelle) Davis of Des Moines and Anthony (Kristi) Davis of New Sharon; two sisters, Peggy (Harold) Kent of Brooklyn and Kim Davis of Des Moines; and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charlie Davis, Jr. and Brad Davis.
