Kathleen Mildred Innis, 60, of Grinnell died July 7, 2010, at Friendship Manor Care Centre in Grinnell.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kathleen M. Innis Memorial Fund.

Kathy was born on January 27, 1950, in Grinnell. She was raised by her father and step-mother, Lawrence W. and Dolly Harper Wilson in Grinnell, Des Moines, and Cedar Rapids. She was a 1968 graduate of Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. |
On February 6, 1975, she was united in marriage to David James Innis, in Brownsville, Texas and the couple lived in Grinnell. She was employed as a desk clerk at the Grinnell Police Department, a telemarketer, as manager of Casey’s General Store, and most recently as a night clerk at the Days Inn.

Kathy enjoyed camping and fishing, crocheting, riding her motorcycle and cruising in her van. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, and playing various games on-line. Her dogs were her pride and joy.

Survivors include two brothers, Bill Wilson of Grinnell and Dick Wilson of Alexander, Arkansas; one sister, Vivian See of Grinnell;two brother-in-laws,Larry and Roger Innis of Grinnell; three sister-in-laws, Barbara Parker of Grinnell, Judy Schlesselman of St. Cloud, Minnesota, and Betty Miller of Frisco, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother; and her husband, David in 2004. |
