Jeff was born the son of Donald and Rose Bahr McAdam on July 1, 1963 in Marengo, Iowa. He was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and he graduated from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs with the class of 1981. Following his education, Jeff moved to Victor, Iowa. He has worked as an over-the-road truck driver, for MPC Newspapers in Marengo, Victor Manufacturing, and most recently for LME Cleaning Services as a rest area maintenance worker. He also owned and operated Jeff’s Taxidermy with his business slogan reading “Memories That Live Forever.” His love of taxidermy was inspired by his uncle, Del Bahr, from Fredricksburg, VA.

Jeff’s family, friends and his faith were his life. Jeff was united in marriage to Kristen Hanselman on November 21, 2004 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Victor. He held a special love for his three children. He was an outdoorsman and he loved to fish and hunt. He was a lifetime member of the National Taxidermists Association and the Iowa Taxidermists Association, and he competed at the Iowa show yearly since 1998, where he won numerous awards. He also took pride in the local community of Victor, where he supported HLV school events, coached soccer and t-ball, and was a devoted member of the Victor Baptist Church. |
Jeff is survived by his wife Kristen McAdam of Victor; three children, Josh McAdam of Floris, Iowa, Vanadee McAdam of Victor, and Jerica McAdam of Floris; his mother Rose McAdam of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and his brother Tim (Jeanne) McAdam of Fairfax, Iowa. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Donald McAdam in 1968; his paternal grandparents Lee and Lois McAdam; his maternal grandparents Ralph and Nina Bahr; his cousin Todd Bahr; and his father-in-law Vernon Hanselman.
