Oscar Kenneth Goreham was born on March 28, 1919, in Grinnell, the son of Bert and Anna Louise Oltrogge Goreham. He attended Grinnell schools and then enlisted in the Navy and served during WWII.

On September 8, 1943, he married Mildred Irene Thompson at the Grinnell United Methodist Church. In 1948, they left Iowa and he became the owner and operator for American Motors in Junction City, Kansas. They moved back to Grinnell in 2005.

He was his “own person” and enjoyed go kart racing, golf, Kansas State football and basketball. He liked to watch the plays at the Little Theater in Kansas and he loved spending time with his family.

O. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Mildred of Grinnell; son, Kenneth Goreham of Junction City, Kansas; two daughters, Mildred “Ann” (Richard) MacKenzie of Roswell, Georgia and Nancy (Larry) Jones of Tucson, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one sister, Elsie Poynter of Aurora, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Frederick, Sheldon, Keith and Robert.

Memorials may be directed to the Grinnell United Methodist Church or to Grinnell Regional Hospice.
