Dorothy was born on June 24, 1919, in rural Jasper County, Iowa near Rock Creek Lake to Peter and Hazel Howard Doud. She was raised on the family farm and attended public school in Newburg.
On December 15, 1941, she was married to Earl J. McKeag in Lancaster, Missouri. The couple farmed near Malcom and later operated a restaurant in Malcom. They moved to Marshalltown and she worked for Osco Drug Store and later owned and operated Dee’s Delight Restaurant. Her husband was killed in an automobile accident in 1968.
On January 30, 1971, she was married to Richard Olson in West Liberty, Iowa. Dorothy and Richard lived in Arizona and moved to Grinnell in 1973. She worked for Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance and Fareway Food Store.

Dorothy was a long-time member of the Grinnell First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and socializing with family and friends. |
Survivors include one son, Ronald (Deloris) McKeag of Sully; three daughters, Rose Mary (Larry) Osland of Peoria, Arizona, Marcia (Earl) Murty of Traer, Iowa and Linda Lang of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one sister, Doris Flanagan of Kellogg, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; one brother, Virgil Doud; and two sisters, Arlene Deppe and Wilma Foster. |
