Cremation Service Options:
This section is an informative guide to explain the different
options you and your family can choose from when selecting for cremation.
We have five different Cremation Service Options to choose from.
FUNERAL SERVICE WITH CREMATION
Many people think that with cremation there is no option to have
a funeral service where the body is present and viewing can take place.
This option allows a family to have a traditional funeral service,
but still having the option for cremation following the funeral service.
When this option is selected, the family's loved one is prepared
for viewing as in a traditional funeral. The family has two options
when selecting a casket. The first option is to rent a casket from
the funeral home. The second option is to purchase a casket from the
funeral home.
There would be a visitation to allow the family and friends to gather
at the funeral home during the afternoon and evening hours the day
/ night before the funeral service. We encourage our families to bring
in memorabilia such as pictures, awards and other special mementos
to share the individual's life story.
Following the funeral service, the body is cremated and interred
at a later date designated by the family. The cremated remains can
then be interred at a cemetery or scattered at a site(s) designated
by the family.
MEMORIAL SERVICE WITH CREMATION
A memorial service is a form of a funeral service where the body
is immediately cremated and the body is not present at the funeral
service. A family can choose to have the cremated remains of their
loved one present at the funeral home or another location in a formal
or informal setting for the memorial service.
If a family would desire to have the cremated remains present for
the memorial service, they have the option to purchase an urn from
the funeral home.
A family may choose whether to have a public or private memorial
service. Many times our families decide to have a public service where
their close friends can be present at the service. We encourage our
families to bring mementos such as pictures and keepsakes to share
their life story.
Following the memorial service, disposition of the cremated remains
can be inurned at a cemetery or the remains can be scattered in a
designated location by the family.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE WITH CREMATION
A graveside service is a form of funeral service where the body is
immediately cremated and the body is not present at the graveside
service. A family can choose to have the cremated remains of their
loved one present at the graveside service, with most families electing
to have the cremated remains present.
A family may choose whether to have a public or a private graveside
service. Many times our families decide to have a public service where
their close friends can be present at the service.
A family has the option to purchase an urn and / or urn vault from
our funeral home if they desire.
IMMEDIATE CREMATION WITH FAMILY VIEWING
When direct cremation is selected as a means for final disposition,
no services are offered with this option. By choosing this option,
the family can view their loved one in a private setting at our funeral
home before he / she is transported to the cremation center. Following
the cremation process, the cremated remains are given to the family
to either be inurned at a cemetery or scattered at a designated site(s)
by the family members. The family also has the option to purchase
an urn and / or urn vault to be used as they wish for inurnment or
for display.
